“This trip was incredible. Interacting with the students from the school was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. It is amazing how teenagers who live on different continents and essentially different worlds can be so alike. Also, climbing to the top of Kili was the hardest thing I have ever done and by far was the coolest! I am so fortunate to have had this experience.”

Your group will work together and donate your time to local Tanzanian communities while immersing yourself within the unique local culture. Working alongside Tanzanians, you’ll repair and rebuild classrooms, ensuring the community’s educational success. You’ll spend time at a local school and village laughing, playing, and sharing stories with Africa’s youngest generation. Learning about the culture and valued traditions of these local Tanzanian villages, you’ll find that underneath, it isn’t that different from your own.
SUMMIT BID OF MT. KILIMANJARO
Standing at 19,340 feet, Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa as well as the largest “walkable” mountain in the world. It is comprised of three extinct volcanoes and is the largest free standing mountain in the world. You and your group will spend seven days exploring this incredible mountain via the famous Machame Route. Accompanied by professional climbing guides, you’ll spend six days gaining over 12,000 feet of elevation in order to reach the base camp before the summit. Each day will be even more phenomenal than the last, only to be topped off by your summit day. Hike to Stella Point where you will enjoy one of the most beautiful sunrises ever witnessed, and after much determination and perseverance, your group will reach Uhuru Peak, the top of Kilimanjaro. Rewarded with a panoramic view of the sensational African wilderness, your group will feel nothing short of accomplished.
SAFARI – NGORONGORO CRATER AND SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After your rewarding trek on Mount Kilimanjaro, spend the next two days taking in the beauties and wildlife of the famous Serengeti National Park. Located in the northwestern part of Tanzania, Serengeti National Park covers over 2,600 square miles and makes up 14% of Tanzania’s land. Have your camera ready, because it is here that you will have the opportunity to see the most lions throughout your safari. With the largest concentration of lions in the world, the Serengeti is the perfect place to attempt to spot this elusive animal. Winding through Africa’s tall prairie grass, under its magnificent Baobab Trees, and across its beautiful rivers as your group watches the sun set over the Serengeti, it will be a perfect ending to an amazing trip.
After exploring the plains of the Serengeti, you and your group will travel back east to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most stunning backdrops for viewing abundant wildlife, especially lion, elephant and maybe even the highly endangered black rhino.
MAASAI VILLAGE
Participate in the cultural immersion of Africa’s most emblematic tribes, the Maasai tribe. You will visit a village where you will learn about the customs, rituals, ceremonies, art and lifestyle of a tribe who continually work and live to preserve their cultural heritage.
