Who will meet me on the first day of the trip?
Moondance leaders will meet you at the arrival gate or the first available security checkpoint as you get off the plane at your final destination (ie. Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver). They will be wearing a Moondance t-shirt to help you identify them. No need for you to wear your t-shirt that day as you will get plenty of opportunities to break it in.
What if I have never traveled alone before?
This is one of the first lessons in adventure, the travel day. For many, this may be the first time to fly without friends or family. Since we have students from across the country, it is possible that there will be another Moondance student on your flight, especially if you are traveling from a major city. If you book your flight with Club Travel, ask if there are other Moondancers traveling with you.
How will my parents know that I arrived safely?
When you get off the plane in your arrival city, your Moondance leader will have you call home to let them know that you arrived safely. You will then head off to claim your luggage and meet the rest of your Moondance group. For the international trips, the Moondance office will call the parents to inform them of their safe arrival.
What if I have a problem on travel day?
If you have trouble on your travel day, the Moondance office is available to help you and keep your parents informed. Remember to carry our toll-free number and you should call us if you have a problem. We are in constant contact with our leaders on opening and closing days and we will not go anywhere without the entire group. If you have booked your tickets through Club Travel, they can help make alternate arrangements as well.
Can my folks meet me at the end of my trip?
Yes!! If you would like to meet your family at the city of departure on the last day of your adventure, they can meet you at the Delta check in on the morning of your group's departure.
Will I be flying with other Moondancers?
Since many people choose to use our suggested travel agent, and since many of the trips begin and end in similar cities, you may be flying with other Moondancers. Keep an eye out for a Moondance t-shirt!
