Technically, an isthmus connects two larger landmasses, yet, philosophically, Costa Rica is responsible for connecting adventurous souls with its national motto: Pura Vida or “Pure Life.” This is a land of true connection: the mind, body and spirit of humans with the pure, natural beauty of what life on Earth should be. Wildlife takes on a new life as the suns sets on the cloud forest. Spend an evening exploring the sights and sounds on a nocturnal safari with only a headlamp for light. You’ll never look at a forest the same way again. Next, you’ll take on the volcanic countryside by foot on a multi-day trek through the valleys on the forest floor. Costa Rica’s tropical forests are rich with geological and ecological wonders so diverse you may just want to stay and explore them all. Volcanoes and monkeys await.
